What can I do living in Massachusetts to help the midwest flood victims? - massachusetts flood zones

Has anyone suggestions for relief and charitable organizations for dealing with flooding in the Midwest. These people should need assistance in the water, food, clothing, medical care. I like to help. Only if you read this on Yahoo Answers who live ------ in the meadows of the Midwest my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am sorry for their problems and we think every day !!!!!

My house was flooded, 10 June and the only organization that has helped me the Lions Club. They gave me $ 50 each for me and my daughter go to Wal-Mart for clothes, food, bedding, personal hygiene and medication. If you want what you can to donate to the local Lions club for me.

The Red Cross established a shelter for 11 June, but no one appeared before her departure. From 16 June that they did not. After numerous phone calls to them just given up. You'll never have another cent from me.

BTW, my teacher has not yet been declared Federal Emergency us so that we can claim benefits from FEMA. It is still "assessing the damage." I sent an e-mail to see floating in my house to see if it was damaged enough, I have to say a badly written "form letter, they are working on the problem. Nice Huh!?

Thank you for taking care of us! I live in a town in Wisconsin, was a part of the counties that have been destroyed the next. Interestingly, it appears that states with Democratic governors who do not receive federal assistance as soon as you need, while states that are not nearly as severely affected, but they have Republican governors (eg, Indiana) and have a lot of Money is flowing into the federal government.

Anyway, Mrs. Jack is right: the main source of relief now, the Red Cross, and was extremely low fund. Only now you have got hundreds of thousands of dollars --- Can not anyone remember when she by any individual or failed. I think if you can go to your site, do your donations and distribute the money specifically to relief efforts for floods in the Midwest. To donate clothes and things you probably call your local Red Cross is the best.

Again, thank you very much! Many of my friends enjoy!

Hello neighbor, like Bill O'Reilly, said the Red Cross is strapped for funds, donations, or call your local chapter of the Red Cross and ask. Perhaps a unit of clothing, they have everything and nothing.
